KUKA's digital offensive: a day dedicated to software and digitalization

The Development and Technology Center at the KUKA headquarter in Augsburg was transformed into a discussion platform for software, digitalization and artificial intelligence for a day.

KUKA digital_powering your business: This was the motto of KUKA's software and digital event at the headquarters in Augsburg. In workshops, panel discussions and keynote speeches, customers and partners from the global mechanical and plant engineering industry, the automotive industry and representatives of major software companies discussed current economic challenges and solutions for seamlessly advancing digitalization in industry.

An Expo area provided exclusive insights into the software and digital offerings of the KUKA Group, with products and solutions for the digitalization of the entire production lifecycle: from the initial layout idea of a factory in a planning software, to the simulation and offline programming of the factory, the simulation and programming of the integrated robots, to the later connectivity of the robots and data analysis in the sense of a data-driven factory.

Highlight of the event: mosaixx, the open, collaborative cloud platform for Industrial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), was presented to the public for the first time and will now complement KUKA's digital portfolio.

KUKA digital: the event highlights in pictures

The German publicist, author, journalist, blogger, internet entrepreneur and podcaster Sascha Lobo is live on air and talks about new technologies and how open Germany is to digitization and artificial intelligence.

Peter Mohnen, CEO KUKA AG, and event host Kimsy von Reischach open the software and digital event with a discussion about the current economic situation, new technologies and an outlook on the day.

Now it's going digital: Quirin Goerz, CEO of KUKA's digital division, talks about the development of industrial digitalization, opportunities and untapped potential when it comes to seamlessly digitalizing industrial production from start to finish.

A new era in industrial engineering: Andreas Frank, Business Unit Lead for mosaixx, presents the open, collaborative cloud platform to the public for the first time. The focus is on collaborative work and increased project efficiency.

In an Expo area, KUKA presented products and solutions that are needed for seamless digitalization of industry. Also on hand were KUKA subsidiaries Visual Components and Device Insight, which cover the topics of simulation, offline programming, shop floor digitalization and data analysis.
